Primo and character with knots
Primo Red Oak showcases a natural diversity of colour and pattern, from golden blond to warm reddish brown. Its open grain reveals flowing lines and gentle contrasts, creating a floor with warmth, movement and authenticity.

Characteristics
- Primo — natural colour
- A relatively uniform appearance with slight colour variation. Sound and repaired knots are occasionally permitted up to 3/16 in in diameter.
- Primo — integrity
- No cracks or splits. Small mineral streaks are accepted up to 102 mm (4 in), along with occasional micro checks.
- Character with Knots (V+)
- All colour variations are possible. Sound or star knots are permitted; their diameter may reach up to 60% of the board width, to a maximum of 4 in.
- Natural character
- Occasional micro checks and a limited number of small compression-repaired checks around knots may be present. Unrepaired open defects are permitted up to 3/16 in.
- Installation guidance
- For a balanced distribution of natural variation, open and blend at least 3 to 5 boxes simultaneously during installation.
- Natural material and tolerance
- Every board is unique. Variation from box to box is part of the wood’s authenticity. The hardwood flooring industry recognizes a grading allowance of up to 5%.
